WHAT FOUNDING MEMBERS ACTUALLY GET
This isn't a newsletter. It's a seat at the table.
We're building Rootinable — a crunchy topper made from 15+ real vegetables and smart fiber — and we're doing it with our founding members, not behind closed doors. That means you have a real say in what this becomes.
A note from us:
We’re passionate about making health feel doable.
We believe balance is the goal - and having a simple way to support your routine on the chaotic days keeps you from falling into the start-over cycle. We want health and nutrition to feel approachable, not exhausting.
Rootinable is for the days you need help filling the gaps - so you can keep going, stay consistent, and feel good about your routine.
Elyse & Gabriel
Meet Gabriel
I'm from Brazil - and love what came with it. The culture, music, the beach, the parties. Growing up, nobody talked about "eating healthy." You just ate. Lunch was rice, beans, vegetables, fish - real food, every day, without thinking about it. That was normal.
When I moved to the US, I realized how not-normal that is here. Eating well feels like a chore, you have to make the extra effort yourself. I'd either go all-in on some system - and feel guilty when I couldn't keep it up - or just give up and grab whatever is fast. There's no middle.
I care about my health, wanna live long and well to travel with my family, be there when it counts. But I don't want my life to be a list of steps and chores - blend powders at 8AM, take supplement at 9PM. I just want to eat better without it becoming my whole personality. I want to know I'm taking care of myself. And I think lots of people feel the same - they want to do something good for themselves, they just don't have a simple way to do it.
That's why I love building Rootinable. A small step, something you can add to what you already eat. More vegetables, good fiber, no overthinking.
Meet elyse
I grew up in Atlanta then lived in Austin for nine years - my soul city. The sun, the lake, the being-outside-all-the-time energy… it has my whole heart. If I’m stressed, just put me outside for 10 minutes and I’m back. My friends joke that when they see me outside, I’m recharging. (Incredibly incompatible with now trying to survive Chicago winters. We’re working on it.)
I’ve been chasing “getting nutrition right” for so long - as a runner, friend, student, and entrepreneur. There were real, big moments where I didn’t show up as my best self because I wasn’t fueling properly - not even close. I was truly exhausted of feeling this way so I started learning about food-as-medicine and gut health, and the difference small changes have made for me has honestly been life-changing.
I’m far from perfect and still learning but know that balance is so important. I try to stick a few things that make a real difference in how I feel: more vegetables, better gut health habits, more plant diversity, and enough fiber. When I go a stretch without it, I really feel a mental toll too - that “I’m behind” feeling that makes it harder to start again.
I love bringing Rootinable to life for the in-between days - something that helps you feel like you’re still making choices that set you up well, even when life is busy.
